You do not need a traditional uniform (karategi) for your first session. Comfortable sports attire such as a breathable T-shirt and track pants/sweatpants is ideal. Please bring clean flip-flops or slippers to move from changing rooms to the mat. We practice barefoot on the tatami.

Yes, absolutely! Traditional Shotokan accommodates all fitness levels and ages. You do not need preexisting flexibility or stamina. Many of our dedicated adult students started with zero background and discovered improved stamina, balance, and stress relief step by step.

For your single free trial lesson, signing our standard on-site liability waiver is sufficient. If you decide to register officially, Italian sports law and FIKTA federation regulations require a non-competitive sports medical certificate with an electrocardiogram (ECG).

Official examinations are held twice annually (winter and summer sessions) following standardized FIKTA criteria. Each belt reflects continuous personal growth, commitment, and technical understanding assessed by the Sensei throughout the year.
